I recommend an infant size (1 gram dose) glycerine suppository – aka a “jelly-bomber”, as in “pop in a jelly if he can’t do a smelly”

Don’t give him any food, the best way to go is to take your baby to his/her pediatrician ASAP, forget orange juice or any other remedy it’s a new born!!! the only food allowed for your baby is milk and sometimes a few drops of water.
When my baby got constipated when she was 3 months old my pediatrician recommended glycerin suppositories. Since it’s been more than 4 years I don’t remember the brand but with a baby as little as yours its best to go to the doctor.
    Good luck!!!

seriously take him to the doctors my son got constipated at about 3 days old by 7 days old he was in hospital with a urine infection. constipation can be a big cause of a uti. obviously what happened with my son is unluckily to happen with yours but if constipation is left untreated it will only get worse i have tried all the things you have tried and nothing worked in the end i changed his milk which made a big difference but hes having a few constipation problems now but hes on food now so i give him plenty of fruit and veg to keep him regular but because of your child’s age your not left with many options so i defiantly think this is one for the doctors

oh man i remember theses days with my daughter. as u i did sugar water the belly rub. nothing wrked for me either. U might want to try pushing there knees into there chest sometimes that helps. how ever are u breastfeeding or formula? formula sometimes has to much iron in it for some babies u may need to swith if using formula. the baby may be impacted if he or she seems to be in pain or discomfort call your doctor.

DO NOT give him any over the counter medications and do not put anything like suppositories in him either. Do not give a newborn juice because they can not break it down or digest it properly yet. Call your doctor and let them know what is going on. They may be able to assist you over the phone or they may tell you to bring him in ASAP. Call now and the on call nurse will be able to help you.

one of my child had this too, and after it still did nothing with the natural methods the doctor gave me some lactose – which was a very small dose and not harmful – it worked. always ask your doctor thoe and if still not been after 3 days go to your doctor, probably the milk shes on is causing it

My son was constipated for over 10days. I phoned the health visitor and I’m still waiting for her to phone me back an he’s now 11 month’s!! I was told by someone else to lye my son on his back and push his legs into him (obviously being gentle) and it all came out like play doe!! I hope this helps, try phoning your health visitor. Hope this helps

First of all is he diffinatly constipated? Breastfed babies can go about a week without passing a no2.
This worked wonders with my daughter.
Mix 7ozs of cooled boiled water with 1oz of PURE orange or prune juice, give it a good mix, then feed roughly an oz or half and oz. Should help flush him out.
Good luck hun, im sure ur lil man will be fine!

It depends on a lot, is he breast fed or formula fed, if he is breast fed, you need to think about the diet you are on, that effects a lot.
If he is formula fed, it could be the formula and you need to talk to the doctor about this.

Yes go straight to your doctors in the morning, with a baby so young you need to see the doctor unless Dr Frank comes on here but otherwise your GP first thing in the morning, unless your baby appears to be in pain then your A& E at the nearest hospital asap

Is he breastfeed or fomrula feed? If he is formula feed what kind of formula are you using and what form is it (powder, concentrate or ready-to-feed)?
When was the baby’s last bowel movement and what did it look like?
