Professor receives patent for research
An SRU professor was granted a U.S. patent for a compound that kills parasitic worms that affect about 30 million people in tropical areas. Dr. Wayne Forbes, assistant professor of biology, said that he applied for the patent in 2003 and it was finalized at the end of February 2010.
